WHAT IS THE CORPORATION OF EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL?

Founded in 1975, EMCS Corporation is an empowered body of committed Christians with a passion for Christian education, who enjoy the privileges of voting on major issues, adopting the budget and electing the school's Board of Directors.

WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER?

Membership in the Corporation is open to all parents, staff and interested individuals who claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their lives, who are in full agreement with the Statement of Faith as outlined in the by-laws, and who identify with and support the Corporation's Conservative Evangelical perspective.

WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

Members help ensure the ongoing Christian character and principles of Emmanuel Christian School, provide input through their vote on important matters, and are eligible for nomination to serve on the Board of Directors.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES

$15 for a single membership and $25 for a double membership (for a husband/wife, each entitled to 1 vote)

GENERAL MEETINGS

Twice each year, once in the fall and once in the spring

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Visit bit.ly/EMCS_Corporation

• Read By-Laws, the Statement of Faith, and the school's Philosophy of Education

• If you agree with these documents, complete the Corporation Membership Form and press submit

• Pay the annual membership fee (e-transfer, cash, or cheque) within 15 days

• Your application will be submitted to the Membership Committee, and then to the Board of Directors; you will be notified once your application has been approved
